A celebration of gathering, community and the beauty of everyday life.

Inspired by the renowned Chinese scroll painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival — 清明上河图 (Qīngmíng Shànghé Tú), this signature Mandarin Mahjong mat pays tribute to one of the most celebrated works in Chinese art.

The original painting is admired for its extraordinary depiction of daily life — bustling streets, flowing waterways, merchants, travellers, families and communities all sharing the same landscape. We drew inspiration from that sense of movement and togetherness to create a mat that feels rich in story, yet refined enough for the modern table.

Traditional Chinese architectural details, landscape elements and delicate linework unfold across the design, inviting you to notice something new each time you play. More than a backdrop for mahjong, it reflects what the game has always been about: people coming together, sharing stories and creating memories around the table.

The Story Behind Along the River During the Qingming Festival — 清明上河图

More than nine centuries ago, artist Zhang Zeduan captured the rhythm of everyday life along the Bian River in the Northern Song capital—boats passing beneath bridges, merchants filling the streets, and people from all walks of life moving through the city.

Our mat draws inspiration from the same spirit of everyday connection. Just as the original scroll is filled with countless small stories, the Mahjong table comes alive through moving hands, flowing conversations, shared laughter, and moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Designed to be explored slowly, each detail invites you to look closer and discover something new—bringing a treasured piece of Chinese heritage into today’s gatherings.

Where history, art, and new memories meet around the table.
